WELCOME TO HATTERAS

The Villas of Hatteras Landing

Rarely do getaways have a smaller getaway built into them, but that's exactly what you will find at Hatteras. While the Outer Banks is a place overflowing with culture and history, this village - located after driving down the sometimes pencil-thin straits of Highway 12 - is at the very bottom of Hatteras Island, itself one of the south barrier islands of the OBX. This community is one of fisherman, of sea-frosted homes and independent methods for living life to the fullest, and, firmly nestled at the end of this community, resides the Villas of Hatteras Landing.

Restaurants are far from the only wonderful attractions found in Hatteras, however; this area never has a lack of activities to take part in! Want to learn more about its history and culture? Visit the towering Hatteras Lighthouse, or perhaps the local maritime museum which focuses on shipwrecks and the history of these storied shores. Want to get up-close and personal with the water? Take advantage of Hatteras's recreational diving scene! The Naturist will enjoy bird watching on our beautiful Barrier Island or perhaps witness the wonder of the sea turtles nesting, horseback riding along the surf, bicycling or hiking the nature trails. The wind and water conditions on Hatteras Island also combine to make it an international attraction to windsurfers and kiteboarders. The possibilities are endless.

There's so much more to experience around these quaint villas. Come see for yourself why Hatteras and the Outer Banks as a whole has achieved such a stunning reputation among beach-goers and vacationers alike. We hope to see you soon!

Cape Hatteras Lighthouse

The beacon light can be seen for 20 miles out to sea. It took 1.25 million bricks to build the tower and if you laid each brick down, one-by-one, they would extend from Corolla to Ocracoke Island – over 100 miles!

  • ENJOYED OUR FALL VISIT TO THE ISLAND

It's a quiet sleepy place in the fall. Quick walk to the beach. Ferry was just around the corner to go to Ocracoke Island (which I highly recommend). We rented bikes in town and rode around. We were able to walk to restaurants and always felt safe.

  • SPRING VISIT

Front desk folks very helpful. Condo was clean and complete. Very convenient to the Ferry system, Museum, shops, and the beach. A lot for you money! TVs in both rooms, free wifi, laundry, and ice. Beautiful walkway through a quiet area that leads to food, beverages, and shops. Nice pool, but it wasn't open for the season yet.
